Verdict on Adib's inquest to be known on Sept 27

SHAH ALAM: The Coroner’s Court has fixed Sept 27 for the verdict on the inquest into the death of fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim.

Coroner Rofiah Mohamad said the court has officially closed the inquest proceedings.

“The inquest is now closed, and after submissions have been filed, the court has fixed the morning of Sept 27 to deliver its verdict,” she said.

After 41 days, on July 24, Rofiah closed the inquest proceedings to determine the cause of Muhammad Adib’s death.

The decision therefore rejected the application of the case's handling officer, Faten Hadni Khairuddin, who recommended that another pathologist be called.

Rofiah found the testimonies sufficient to assist the court in delivering its decision.

The proceedings began on Feb 11 and 30 witnesses, including experts, had been called to testify.
