Yusoff Rawther undergoes lie-detector test at Bukit Aman

KUALA LUMPUR: Muhammad Yusoff Rawther, the former researcher who has accused PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim of sexual assault, underwent a polygraph test at the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman today.

The polygraph test, also known as a ‘lie detector test’, forms part of the investigation process to determine the veracity of his claims.

The 26-year-old arrived at the federal police headquarters at 2.50pm accompanied by his lawyer, Datuk Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla, for the test.

Muhammad Yusoff earlier this month made a statutory declaration, accusing Anwar of sexual misconduct on Oct 2 last year. He claimed that the abuse took place while he was still working for the party about a year ago.

On Dec 9, Muhammad Yusoff was called to Bukit Aman and spent about seven hours with investigators to have his statement recorded.

Anwar has since denied the allegation and has given his statement to the police on Thursday.
