Peter Anthony questioned by MACC over alleged corruption

KOTA KINABALU: State Infrastructure Development Minister Datuk Peter Anthony has been called in by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to assist investigations into an alleged corruption case involving a land deal.

Anthony, who is vice-president of Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan), arrived at the Sabah MACC office at 10.20am today.

He was accompanied by Warisan secretary-general Datuk Loretto S. Padua, Warisan Wira chief Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman, Tanjong Kapor assemblyman Ben Chong, and a lawyer.

Several supporters were also seen arriving with him, after which Anthony was whisked into the MACC office for his statement to be recorded.
