Kelantan police question man over posting of unvaccinated individual dining in

KOTA BARU: Police have recorded a statement from a man after he posted content that might confuse the public on dine-in procedures on social media.

Kelantan police chief Datuk Shafien Mamat said the man was called to the Pasir Puteh police station to record his statement this morning.

He said the owner of the Twitter account @mhddanialrazak had yesterday posted a Facebook screenshot of an individual who had yet to get the Covid-19 vaccine jab dining in at a restaurant.

The posting read "tak pernah kena walau satu dos pun boleh dine in juga... Gumonim Semua (never received a single dose can still dine-in... good morning all).

"Following this, police opened an investigation paper into the case yesterday," he said in a statement.

Shafien said the case is being investigated under four sections namely Section 233 and 506 of the Penal Code, Section 22 (b) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1988.

He then warned the public not to post any content that would cause confusion among others.
