Chopped up body parts in bag: Victim died of multiple blows, sharp injuries

KUALA LUMPUR: A post-mortem examination conducted on a murder victim, who was found near Rawang yesterday chopped up into parts and stuffed into a bag, showed that the man had sustained blows and injuries inflicted by a sharp weapon.

Sungai Buloh district police chief, Superintendent Shafa'aton Abu Bakar also confirmed that the victim was a foreigner.

"So far, we have only recorded a statement from one witness.

"The post mortem results showed that the victim is a male and a foreigner.

"He is also believed to be a non-Muslim.

"The cause of death was injuries multiple blows and injuries from sharp objects," she said.

Shafa'aton said the police would continue with their investigation to ascertain the victim's identity.

It was reported yesterday that a luggage containing pieces of a chopped-up human body was found along the North-South Expressway near the Rawang Selatan interchange (northbound) at 2pm.

Parts of the deceased's remains were found lying on the grass near the bag.
