Thai police arrest Thai drug pusher in Sungai Golok raid

KOTA BARU: Thai police seized RM125 from a Thai citizen suspected to be drug pusher yesterday.

Sungai Golok police chief Colonel Pratya Baite said the 33-year-old suspect was arrested in a raid at a house in Sungai Golok town area.

He said also seized in the raid was 120 baht and a small packet of heroin.

"A police party from the Sungai Golok station raided the house following public tip-offs on a man suspected of selling drugs.

"After raiding the house at about 2.30pm (3.30pm Malaysian time), they discovered the drugs.

"The officers found the cash including RM125 of Malaysian notes," he said in a statement.

He said the suspect who is a local, was believed to be drug pusher.

The man is being held for further action.
