Burhanuddin Helmi Che Awang was charged under Section 19 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and another two alternate charges under Section 471 of the Penal Code.

He pleaded guilty to two charges, and was fined RM6,000 for the first charge and RM8,000 for the second.

His sentence was meted out by Kuala Terengganu Sessions court judge Azhar Othman today.
