Police to summon 'Mr H' implicated in spread of lewd video resembling ex-J-KOM DG

KUALA LUMPUR: Police will summon "Mr H" who was implicated in the spread of a lewd video resembling the former director-general of the Communications and Community Department (J-KOM) Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff.

The Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, said the individual was identified based on information provided by Mohammad Agus.

Razarudin also urged J-KOM officer Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani to assist in the investigation.

"So far, no police reports have been lodged by Abdul Wahab regarding threats to his safety. Several other individuals will be called in soon to assist in the investigation," he said.

In a related development, he said an investigation was also underway under Section 203A of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act concerning Mohammad Agus' report on the leakage of his police report.

"We (police) are also investigating this matter," he said.

Yesterday, the media reported that Mohammad Agus had informed the police about revealing the identity of Mr H.

Mohammad Agus said he had also filed another police report regarding the spread of his previously filed police report concerning a sexually explicit conversation video resembling him with a J-KOM staff member.

"I have met with the investigating officer, provided my statement, and disclosed the identity of Mr H for police investigation," he said.

Razarudin said they would summon anyone believed to be involved, including "Mr H" and Abdul Wahab, as soon as possible.

Earlier, the media reported that the Selangor Police received a report regarding a viral video conversation alleged to involve two individuals, including one resembling Mohammad Agus.

The three-minute viral video, circulating since Thursday, became a hot topic on social media as the individual in question became publicly known.

As a result, Mohammad Agus resigned as the DG of J-KOM, claiming that the video implicating him was fake and maliciously edited by irresponsible individuals.

He alleged that the spread of the video was intentionally done by certain individuals with the aim of tarnishing his reputation.

In a press conference, Abdul Wahab, who was also linked in the viral video, claimed that he was made a scapegoat by an individual named Mr H to discredit Mohammad Agus.

Abdul Wahab said the circulated video conversation was fake and edited by irresponsible parties.
