Sirul still in Interpol's red notice

KUALA LUMPUR: The former police officer Sirul Azhar, who was convicted of the murder of Mongolian woman, Altantuya Shaariibu in 2006, is still under International Criminal Police Investigation (Interpol) red notice, said police.

In a press conference today, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the police are still reviewing avenues to bring Sirul home.

"We are still studying methods (to bring Sirul home) and now it's on Attorney General Chamber (AGC) level. His (Sirul) name is still enlisted under Interpol's red notice," he said.
