Tragic lunch encounter: Woman fatally stabbed in Klang after restaurant meeting

KLANG: A woman was found dead in a car with multiple stab wounds in Taman Chi Liung near here, yesterday.

South Klang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong said police received a report from the public informing them that a man had stabbed a woman.

Following the report, he said a 44-year-old local man was detained to assist in the investigation of the case.

He said the investigation revealed that at 1.20pm yesterday, the 26-year-old local woman met the suspect at a restaurant and was stabbed near a car after they finished lunch.

"The suspect is believed to have stabbed the victim several times using a knife before putting her into the car and driving to his home in Kapar.

"The suspect parked the vehicle in front of his house and attempted to wake the victim up but failed. He then stabbed himself.

"At 4.20pm, a police team from the South Klang district police headquarters arrested the suspect and checked on the unconscious woman in the front passenger seat. A medical team then confirmed that the woman had succumbed to her injuries," he said in a statement today.

He said police also found a knife believed to be used by the suspect, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

He stated that the post-mortem on the victim conducted today revealed many stab wounds on the front and back of the body.

"The cause of the victim's death is due to stab wounds in the chest that penetrated the heart, and the police are still conducting further investigations to determine the motive behind the attack.

"The examination found that the suspect has no records and is now in remand for seven days starting today.

"Those with relevant information about the case are urged to call the South Klang district police headquarters at 03-33762222 or any nearby police station," he said.
