Cops arrest two 15-year-olds for vandalising Federal Court judge's vehicle

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested two 15 year-old boys for vandalising a Federal Court judge's vehicle in Taman Koperasi Polis Fasa Dua.

Sentul police chief Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari said the two boys had scratched the car with a sharp rock and had stolen the Federal Court official emblem attached to the registration plates.

"The incident occurred while the car was parked on the side of the road in Taman Koperasi Polis Fasa Dua. The complainant became aware of the incident about 8.50pm after praying at a nearby mosque," he told reporters at the Sentul police headquarters.

Sukarno said the case was being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code, and if convicted, they could face imprisonment for up to two years or a fine, or both.

He advised the public to always comply with the law and collectively safeguard the well-being and harmony in Kuala Lumpur.

"Stringent action will be taken against individuals who violate the law," he said, adding that people with information on any criminal wrongdoing should report it by contacting the Sentul police operations room at 03-40482222.
