Kelantan police release pictures of 17 suspects wanted since 2021

KOTA BARU: Kelantan police today released pictures of 17 wanted persons believed to be involved in criminal, commercial and narcotics cases.

Kelantan police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said the 17 are believed to be still in the state.

He said seven of them were sought for being involved in narcotics cases and five each in commercial and criminal cases.

"The 17 were involved in the cases which were reported in several areas in the state such as Gua Musang, Kuala Krai, Pasir Mas and Kota Baru," he told a Press conference here today.

Those wanted for the narcotics cases were identified as Faizul Nasir, Mohamad Faiz'erfan Mohd Noor, Mohamad Zufakrie Zakaria, Amin Kassim, Mohd Aziqkirul Hakim Shaari, Mohd Alif Zulmalek and Ahmad Kamarul Haniff Kamarulzaman.

The five who were sought by the state police for their involvement in commercial cases were Amier Amzar Akbarudin, Foo Ban Kiat, Ong Jing Khai, Alias Abdullah and Chng Eng Seah.

Five others wanted for criminal cases were Nazli M Taib, Kori Samat, Mohamad Irfan Abd Hani, Muhammad Aizat Amran and Muhamad Amirul Zainul Abidin.

Zaki said the 17 are all locals, aged between 28 to 53.

"Police have set up special teams to track down this suspects but we need information from the public to help us locate the suspects.

"Those with information on their whereabouts are urged to contact the nearest police station," he added.

On another note, Zaki said 49 foreigners were among 1,040 undividuals nabbed by the police in series of Ops Bersepadu carried out nationwide between Jan 11 to 23.

He added the others were 991 locals and three government servants.

Also seized in the operation were various types of drugs worth RM370,000.
