Three arrested for abducting female student in front of school

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested three individuals, including a woman, for allegedly abducting a 17-year-old female student in front of a secondary school in Kepong here yesterday.

Gombak District Police chief, Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir, stated that the arrests were made after the police received a complaint from the victim's 42-year-old mother at 10.36am.

"The investigation revealed that the woman was informed about the incident by her daughter's teacher.

"The form five student was abducted by a male and a female local individual in a car," he said in a statement today.

Noor Ariffin said that the investigation successfully led to the arrest of three individuals, including two local men aged 22 and 20, and a local woman aged 20.

"We also seized a white Toyota car and a Yamaha Y15ZR motorcycle.

"All suspects are now remanded for four days starting from Saturday until Tuesday to assist in the investigation under Section 365 of the Penal Code," he said.

In the meantime, he urged the public with information about this incident to come forward to assist in the investigation or contact the crime investigator, Inspector Yap Ching Chua at 019-9969649.
