SEREMBAN: A primary school teacher has been detained by police after being found to have sexually harassed his male student at the school.
The matter was uncovered after the discovery of several pornographic videos believed to be recorded by the suspect while engaging in the act towards his student.
Sources say, more surprisingly, it was also found in the same videos that the suspect engaged in similar sexual acts with his own son, believed to have occurred in their home.
"The school principal reported to the police on Dec 5 regarding the discovery of several explicit videos depicting the suspect's sexual harassment of the student. It is understood that videos showing the suspect's inappropriate sexual behaviour towards his own son were also found," he said today.
He explained that the male teacher was remanded for seven days by the Magistrate's Court here today to assist in the investigation of the case of committing physical sexual abuse against his student.
"The 43-year-old suspect is remanded to allow further investigation under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
Meanwhile, Seremban police chief Assistant Commissioner Arifai Tarawe confirmed that they have received a report on the case and the suspect has been remanded for further investigation.
