SUBANG JAYA: A baby boy was found abandoned in front of a shophouse at Court 4 USJ, here, this morning.
Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said police received a call from the public regarding the incident at 8.13am today.
"The baby was found in good health by the shop owner.
"The baby was then sent to Shah Alam Hospital by ambulance for further examination," he said in a statement today.
Wan Azlan said the case is being investigated under Section 317 of the Penal Code.
"Members of the public with information on the incident can contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Sharifah Fatimah Marhidayani Syed Muhammad at 017-9149376.
"Information can also be channeled by contacting the Subang Jaya control centre at 03-78627100 to assist in the investigation," he said.
