KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating the case of baby girl found abandoned at a staircase of an apartment in Taman Daya, Johor Baru on March 11.
South Johor Baru District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat has called on members of the public with information to contact the police.
"Those who have any information should contact our hotline at 07-2182323 or investigating officer Insp Nur Adila Zainuddin at 019-4039257," he said in a statement.
He said police were looking for the main suspect and the case was being investigated under Section 317 of the Penal Code.
He added that the infant had been handed over to the Johor Baru Social Welfare Department.
