SHAH ALAM: A police corporal was found dead outside an apartment block in Taman Impian Indah, Seri Kembangan, near here early this morning.
It is learnt that the 34-year-old victim is believed to have been beaten to death.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the victim was an active-duty police officer attached with the Kuala Lumpur police contingent.
"We (police) are tracking down a group of men believed to be involved in the case and were at the scene during the incident.
"The case is still under investigation, and we have not yet identified the suspects," he told reporters here today
Hussein said a post-mortem would be carried out to identify the victim's cause of death.
It is understood that the victim's body will be flown to his hometown in Kuching, Sarawak once the post-mortem concluded.
