Fatal fall: Woman found dead outside Cheras apartment

KUALA LUMPUR: A woman in her 40s, believed to be a city council officer, has tragically fallen to her death at an apartment in Cheras.

Based on an obituary notice sighted by the New Straits Times, the woman passed away yesterday. Details of the funeral ceremony will be disclosed later.

Cheras police chief, Assistant Commissioner Zam Halim Jamaludin said the woman was pronounced dead around 9pm yesterday.

The apartment's security found the body lying on the sidewalk around the locality.

He said initial investigation showed there was no criminal element in the incident.

"We believe there was a family misunderstanding but at the moment, there's no foul play," he said.

The case, he added, has been classified as sudden death.
