Suspected KLIA gunman Hafizul Hawari arrives at court complex to face charges

SEPANG: Hafizul Hawari, the suspected gunman involved in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) incident, arrived at the court complex today to face several charges.

The 38-year-old company manager, wearing a black T-shirt, arrived in handcuffs under heavy security presence at 8.15am.

Hafizul, who looked calm, is expected to be charged before Sessions Court judge Azrol Abdullah at 9am.

The court complex entrance saw several police cars stationed, and those seeking parking within the compound were directed to a nearby area.

Yesterday, Hafizul claimed trial to seven charges at the Kota Baru court.

On April 14, Hafizul allegedly fired two shots, one of which hit his wife's bodyguard.

His target was his wife, who is also his business partner.

He fled the scene and was arrested in Kota Baru the next day.
