MACC strengthens ties with Federal Court, aims to boost collaboration

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today had a meeting with the Chief Registrar’s Office of the Federal Court of Malaysia in an effort to strengthen existing ties between both sides.

In the meeting, MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Dzulkifli Ahmad and Chief Registrar Datuk Seri Latifah Mohd Tahar, discussed greater collaboration on improving the administration of the court to enable it to become more sustainable and robust in terms of integrity.

In a statement issued by MACC today, the commission said both parties agreed to work together in order to boost the administration of the Special Court of Corruption, exchange information and views in issues related to corruption, abuse in power as well as to enhance the ability to carry out law enforcement and maintain the judiciary’s integrity.

“The commission hopes that these initiatives would maintain and boost the people’s confidence in us.

“At the same time, this reflects the commission’s seriousness in fighting corruption and abuse of power in the country,” it said.
