Task force to interview Chong for information on Pastor Koh's abduction

SHAH ALAM: Selangor police will call up activist Peter Chong over claims that he had gone to Thailand to obtain information on Pastor Raymond Koh's abduction.

Selangor Criminal Investigations Department chief Assistant Commissioner Fadzil Ahmat, who is heading the task force on Koh's abduction, said they will contact him soon to record his statement on the matter.

"According to Chong, he has information on Koh's disappearance. We do not know whether he can assist but we want to check out his claims.

"We need to get his statement recorded as the task force has never stopped investigating Koh's case. We want to solve Koh's case and if Chong has any information or clue about it, we will pursue the angle," said Fadzil.

Fadzil said this at a press conference at the Selangor police contingent headquarters today.

Koh, 62, was believed to have been abducted by masked men on Feb 13 at Jalan SS4B/10 in Petaling Jaya.

A two minute 53 seconds long video surfaced after the abduction which went viral on the social media.

In the video, Koh was seen allegedly kidnapped by 15 men in seven vehicles in under a minute in what appears to be a well planned and professionally executed operation.

Meanwhile, Chong, who was reported to have gone missing on Apr 6, returned to Malaysia 11 days later with claims that he had gone to Thailand to meet a source who has information on Koh's abduction.

Chong also alleged that he was kidnapped after arriving in Hadyai and was subsequently brought to Pattaya.
