Two children killed, four people injured in Gemas car crash

GEMAS: Two siblings, aged 11 and 14, were killed while four other people were injured in an accident at KM12 Jalan Pasir Besar-Rompin, near Gemas, here this evening.

In the 5.23pm incident, a Honda City driven by a woman in her 30s, carrying her four children aged between seven to 14, allegedly lost control of the car before it collided with a Proton Waja coming from the opposite direction.

Gemas Fire and Rescue Department chief operation officer M Danapala said six firemen were deployed to the scene upon being alerted.

"Upon arrival, we found a woman and a girl stuck in the car. The woman suffered serious injuries to her head while the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Another victim, believed to be thrown out from the car due to the impact of the crash, was also found at the location. He was also killed in the crash," he said.

He added that two other victims, aged seven and nine, survived and were sent to the hospital by members of the public.
