Najib visits RMR1M project in Felda Sungai Sayong

KULAI: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today spent about 30 minutes visiting the 1Malaysia People Friendly Housing (RMR1M) project in Felda Sungai Sayong here today.

Najib who arrived at 6.10 pm was briefed on the project by Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) chairman Datuk Dr Abdul Latiff Ahmad.

The Prime Minister also spent about 30 minutes touring one of the completed units at Persiaran Al-Hijrah.

SPNB, who spearheaded the RMR1M project nationwide, has built 191 units of single-storey terrace houses at the Felda Sungai Sayong settlement at subsidised cost of RM20,000 for each unit.

The RM33 mil RMR1M project in Felda Sungai Sayong is part of the four RMR1M developments by SPNB in Felda settlements in the state which comprises a total of 436 units built for second generation Felda settlers.

In April this year, SPNB and Felda signed an MoU for another 20,000 units of subsidised houses to be built under the RMR1M scheme in future.
