Second phase of Darul Hana Project in Sungai Bedaun to be completed by 2026

KUCHING: The second phase of the ambitious Darul Hana Project in Sungai Bedaun, Santubong is on track for completion in 2026, the Sarawak Public Communications Unit reported.

Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said that this phase will facilitate the relocation of 200 families from two local villages.

During a press briefing following the Darul Hana 2024 Iftar Event, Abang Johari shared insights into the government's broader vision for the area. A new site near the existing villages is being scouted for the continued expansion of the Darul Hana initiative, reflecting the government's commitment to enhancing local infrastructure and living conditions.

The Darul Hana Project represents a cornerstone of Sarawak's urban development strategy. It aims to provide improved housing, amenities, and a better quality of life for the residents while preserving the cultural and environmental heritage of the area.

Abang Johari, at the iftar event, distributed contributions from the Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) to 130 groups and orphans, totalling RM19,500.
