PLUS: Slow traffic on highways as city dwellers begin 'balik kampung' journey

KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic flow was reported to be slow on most highways as most city dwellers have already began their ‘balik kampung’ journey this evening.

As the number of motorists on the road goes up, the number of accidents reported has also increased as well.

PLUS Malaysia Berhad on its Twitter handle, posted of accidents at the Km11.7 of the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) to Shah Alam (around 7.18pm), at Km3.2 of the North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE) from Shah Alam to Seafield (6.52pm), and Km366.3 of the North-South Expressway from Slim River to Sungkai (7.17pm).

PLUS also reported that the traffic was smooth at the NKVE from Damansara to Shah Alam, and from Subang to Dataran Prima, as well as from the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza heading towards the city centre, particularly beginning around 7.50pm.
