GEORGE TOWN: The alleged victim of the sexual assault case involving a former aide to a DAP assemblyman, came forward today to recount the horror that transpired that day.
Tan, a 21-year-old college student currently awaiting exam results, said the incident happened on her first day of work as a part-time waitress at an entertainment outlet in Lebuh Pantai on July 6.
She recalled that the alleged perpetrator who was in his 50’s was consuming liquor with another friend. The man, a former city councillor, is a regular there.
As the man was walking out, he asked Tan to accompany him the car park to retrieve his car.
"Since it was my first day at work, I did not want to offend the customer. So, I followed him.
"We then walked into a dark passageway and he pushed me against the wall. I tried to fight him off but he was too big and strong. I could not do anything.
"He then put his tongue into my mouth and started kissing me. He then put his hand inside my trousers and started touching my privates.
"I immediately squatted down and began crying but he continued his advances," said Tan, in between sobs.
Tan’s father and boyfriend were with her during the press conference, facilitated by Parti Cinta Malaysia.
Tan said the man then undid his belt, pulled out his private part and asked her to perform oral sex on him.
"When I refused, he said it was okay to use my hands.
"I was squatting and crying the whole time. I pushed him away but he told me to wait a little while more (as he was masturbating then).
"Shortly afterwards, he ejaculated onto my pants and foot," she said.
The man even asked her how much money it would take to spend the night with him or to perform oral sex on him.
Tan said she immediately ran into an adjacent bathroom and called her friend for help.
They lodged a police report at around midnight after alerting the management of the entertainment outlet.
Tan said after the incident, she received a WeChat message from the man's friend, offering a sum of money to “settle” the matter.
It was reported that the man was arrested by police yesterday and was produced in court for remand this morning.
The case is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for assault or use of criminal force on a person with intent to outrage modesty.
