KULIM: A 17-year-old student broke her leg when she allegedly leapt from the second floor of a school building today.
The incident occurred at 1pm just after the school session ended.
The Form Five student was found by other students, who immediately alerted the teachers.
Kulim police chief Superintendent Ahmad Nasir said initial investigation showed that the student was alone at the two-storey building during the incident.
“The student, who broke her left leg, was rushed to the Kulim Hospital," he said.
He said police have classified the case under Section 309 of the Penal Code for attempted suicide.
