Cyberjaya Hospital to be completed in 2020

KUALA LUMPUR: Cyberjaya Hospital, with a contract value of RM475 million, is slated for completion in 2020 and is expected to complement the public hospitals in Selangor, as well as reducing the congestion at public hospitals in neighbouring Putrajaya and Sepang.

Cyberview Sdn Bhd Acting Managing Director, Mohd Najib Ibrahim, said the 288-bed facility would be located in the vicinity of Gem In Mall and serve not only the residents in Cyberjaya but also those living in Puchong, Dengkil, and Sepang.

“The nine-storey hospital, which will span over 4.86 hectares of land, will also have an eight-storey car park with 965 parking bays,” he said in a statement today.

He said the company had appointed Gadang Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Gadang Holdings Bhd, as the principal contractor for the hospital.

Cyberjaya Hospital is designed in compliance with the green building index certification standards for sustainability – boasting design features, including optimal solar orientation and solar energy harvesting technology, that facilitate eco-friendly and energy-efficient operation.

The public hospital is one of Cyberjaya’s many upcoming developments to enhance the city’s offerings, which is among the 11 major announcements made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at Cyberjaya’s 20th year anniversary celebration in May this year. - Bernama
