KUALA LUMPUR: The third and final payment of the 1Malaysia People's Aid programme or BR1M this year will start tomorrow.
In a statement issued by the Finance Ministry the payment is made in conjunction with Aidiladha which is expected to fall on Sept 1.
“The government has agreed for the third payment, which is also the final installment for BR1M 2017 starting on Aug 16.
“For those who qualify after their appeal, the payment is expected to be made on Aug 29,” the statement said.
“The BR1M payment will be creditted directly to the accounts of the recipients.
“For those who do not have accounts, approval letters will be posted to the recipients and can be used to withdraw the payments from any Bank Simpanan Nasional branches.”
The government expressed hopes the BR1M payments can be used by recipients purchase essentials as well as help those who observe Aidiladha prepare necessities.
