KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V was saddened and had expressed his condolence to the Sultanah of Kedah, Sultanah Hajah Haminah on the demise of the Sultan of Kedah Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah.
Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja Istana Negara Datuk Wan Ahmad Dahlan Ab Aziz said in a statement last night that the King also conveyed his condolences to the children of the late Tuanku, members of the Royal family and all the people of Kedah.
Tuanku Abdul Halim, 89, passed away at Istana Anak Bukit, Alor Star at 2.30 pm today. -- Bernama
