Property expo returns to Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR: FIRST-TIME home buyers and investors can expect to gain informative property insights during the MyRumah Property Showcase, which will be held at The Curve in Mutiara Damansara, Selangor, from Oct 6 to 8.

Organised by the New Straits Times Press Bhd (NSTP), the fourth edition of the showcase will feature eight well-known property developers and non-developer exhibitors, 19 top property speakers and 14 forum panellists.

More than 10,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, which is open to the public from 10am to 10pm.

NSTP chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Jalil Hamid said the showcase would not stop here as there were plans for a superior property exhibition next year.

“The showcase will not stop here although this event is the last in the series for this year.

“Basically, we have started planning for the MyRumah Property Showcase next year with bigger and better opportunities,” he said here yesterday.

Jalil hoped that the public would attend the exhibition as there would be a host of events aimed at educating new home buyers on the intricacies of buying a property.

NSTP agency and direct advertising general manager Chew Ruoh Syh said the main concept of the event was called “3E”, or education, exhibition and entertainment.

Chew said the public could get guidance on property investments by top developers and speakers, view the exhibition and be entertained by artistes.

“Prospective buyers and investors will have the opportunity to meet and talk with the experts in each field and gain perspectives on what to expect.

“The public will have the opportunity to listen and ask, as industry experts share their insights into real estate market in the country.

“We have also prepared a play area to keep kids entertained while their parents focus on property search.”

Present at the press conference were NSTP chief commercial officer Alfian Abu Talib, NSTP advertisement sales general manager Jeannie Leong Lee Eu, Aladdin Group senior vice-president Datuk Sri Vincent Tiew and LePro System Bhd director Vincent Heng.
