Kelantan PAN to remain at original HQ until official eviction notice served

KOTA BARU: Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) will continue using the building at the intersection of Jalan Salor-Pasir Mas and Jalan Tendong-Mulong as its headquarters.

Kelantan PAN chairman Datuk Wan Abdul Rahim Wan Abdullah said the party would continue operating at the building until it receives an official notice to vacate.

He said the building has been used to hold party meetings and political events for several years.

“I will not comment further on the issue as it is being handled by party vice-president Datuk Husam Musa.

“He (Husam) is charge of the party’s policies and we will let him solve the problem,” he said when contacted today.

Wan Rahim said Husam, who is also Salor state assemblyman, would issue an official statement on the matter soon.

He was commenting on news reports that PAN would fight an eviction notice asking it to vacate Wisma Tok Guru, which serves as PAN’s headquarters in Kelantan, as well as Husam’s office.

Husam was quoted as saying that the matter would be brought to court as soon as a formal notice is served.

He said Kelantan PAN would stay put at the building until the court decides otherwise.

Husam had also raised procedural issues, pointing out that the instruction to vacate was conveyed to him instead of PAN.
