Religious teacher, businessman win big in The Store's lucky draw

TAIPING: Religious teacher Mazlan Mamat, 44, and businessman Yam Kah Kuen, 58, won a Toyota Sienta and Proton Ertiga from The Store, during an on-site lucky draw at its outlet in Taiping Mall.

The event was held today, in conjunction with The Store's "Kemeriahan Ulang Tahun Ganjaran Menakjubkan" contest, held from May 18 to Sept 3.

Their entries were shortlisted for the main prizes from the initial 60 entries, which were drawn out of some 1 million entries by The Store Group’s ambassador singer Adibah Noor.

At the event, Adibah also called up the duo to deliver the news and congratulated them for their win.

The final draw was held to determine the winner of the Sienta while the other will receive the Ertiga.

Mamat and Yam had submitted their entries at The Store Plaza Alam Sentral in Shah Alam, Selangor, and The Store Central Square in Sungai Petani, Kedah, respectively.

Also present were The Store Group executive director William Tang Chee Weng, operations senior general manager Winky Pek and Yayasan MyKasih board member Siti Khairon Shariff.

The Store also launched its 'Riang Ria Perayaan Ganjaran Berganda' contest, which begins today and ends March 4, with prizes valued at RM500,000 up for grabs.

Customers are eligible to enter the contest with a minimum purchase of RM50 in a single receipt at any The Store and Pacific outlets or purchase of RM30 from Milimewa supermarket.

Prizes they stand to win include Perodua Alza 1.5S AT, Perodua Bezza 1.0G AT and Perodua Axia 1.0G AT.

"Coupons worth RM380,000 will also be offered at all The Store and Pacific branches," said Pek.

The group also launched its latest redemption programme, “Ringo Marble Coating Cookware” that allows customers to buy the items at discounted prices by collecting three special stickers, that would each be given with a minimum purchase of RM30.

Pek also said the group had raised RM106,000 through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) campaign "Sayangi Kawasan Kejirananku" (Love My Neighbourhood), held in collaboration with Yayasan MyKasih.

The programme, aimed at providing food and education to 110 selected families, was carried out between April 1 and Sept 30.

Tang handed over the funds to Siti Khairon at the same event.
