KUANTAN: Tengku Panglima Besar Pahang, Tengku Ibrahim Tengku Sulaiman died of natural causes early this morning. He was 81.
Tengku Ibrahim, the uncle of the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah, died at the Royal Ward of the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) here at 7.10am.
He was rushed to the HTAA yesterday afternoon complaining of ill health and was warded for treatment.
Secretary of the Jemaah Pangkuan Diraja Pahang Datuk Sabaruddin Sulaiman said that Tengku Ibrahim's body has been brought back to his home in Kampung Parit Tengah, Pekan.
He said that funeral prayers will be performed at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Mosque, before burial at the Pekan Royal Mausoleum after Zohor prayers today.
Tengku Puan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, has paid her last respects to Tengku Ibrahim and his immediate family members.
