Johor's Tunku Panglima clinches maiden win in Asian Le Mans Series

KUALA LUMPUR: Tunku Panglima Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman Sultan Ibrahim not only made Johor and the country proud after his team - the Triple Eight Racing - scored their maiden victory during the Asian Le Mans Series in Abu Dhabi last night.

The Johor prince was driving the Mercedes AMG GT3 car alongside his teammates, namely Luca Stolz and Jordan Love, started fifth on the grid before clinching first place in Race 4 of the series, which took place at the Yas Marina Circuit.

The news of the sporting achievement made by the Johor prince and his team was shared in a social media posting on The Royal Johor's Facebook page this morning.

"Along with teammates Luca Stolz and Jordan Love, Tunku Abdul Rahman put in a faultless performance and avoided unwanted incidents throughout the 4-hour race to earn a sweet victory for series newcomers, Triple Eight," read the social media posting.
