RM5 school uniforms flying off the racks in Jempol

JEMPOL: With the new school term to start in a few weeks, a trader has taken the initiative to sell school uniforms for as low as RM5 to help parents ease their financial burden here.

Trader Mohd Faezli Kussin, 25, from Tangkak Johor, said the effort had received extraordinary response from customers since he started selling the uniforms here two days ago.

“We have managed to sell about 8,000 uniforms for the past two days.

“We take this as a sign that our small effort is fruitful as it helps people with their expenses.

“I don’t care much about profits. To be able to help others means a lot to me,” he said.

On average, a pair of school uniform in the market costs from RM25 to RM30, depending on the brand names.

Accompanied by his wife Syarifah Syafizah Syed A Bakar, 26, Faezli said they travelled with the cargo of uniforms from Tangkak with a lorry.

He said he planned to extend the sale to Seremban on Dec 13.

“I didn’t expect to receive such an overwhelming response and hopefully the sale will also help families in Seremban.

“Hopefully, I can continue with this project in the future. This is part of my company’s effort, Iman Rizqi Brother Resources to help others,” he said.

For Siti Noraisah Bidin, 40, from Bandar Seri Jempol, the sale had provided the opportunity for her to buy four sets of uniforms for her two sons.

“This definitely has eased our burden. I hope it can be held again in the future,” she said.
