KUALA LUMPUR: Puan Sri Azizah Hamdi, the wife of Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun, passed away today due to cancer.
Federal police corporate communications chief Datuk Asmawati Ahmad confirmed the news, saying that Azizah, 58, passed away at 7.02pm at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC).
“The remains would be taken from UMMC to the Selangor police contingent headquarters’s mosque before being taken to hometown in Rapat Jaya, Ipoh for burial,” she said in a statement.
