KUALA LUMPUR: Integrated Manasik Monitoring System (Imams) Sdn Bhd accepts the government's decision to cancel its umrah pilgrims’ services.
The company in a statement also assures it will cooperate with the Tourism and Culture Ministry or any other parties that looks into safeguarding the interest of umrah pilgrims.
Its service with the same name, Imams, was cancelled a day after it was announced by the ministry recently.
The system was introduced in a bid to better manage the umrah pilgrims, beef up its regulatory management system as well as snuff out the errant operators.
It was cancelled however following an outcry from the public and stakeholders.
The company said a trial run for the system showed it was an effective method as it allows for a more systematic and organised handling of umrah packages.
