Felda handling investigation well, says Chief Secretary

KUALA LUMPUR: Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa believes that the Felda investigation was being handled thoroughly by the authority.

"I think that is Felda's (internal) matter. Felda is handling it now," he said at Ecovest elevated U-turn opening ceremony here today.

However, he refused to comment further.

Yesterday, Berita Harian exposed that Felda was in danger of losing the land, which has since been earmarked for the Kuala Lumpur Vertical City (KLVC) development project.

Felda chairman Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad said the sales and purchase agreement involving the three parcels of land were discovered in January this year when he took over from former chairman Tan Sri Isa Samad, who was chairman of Felda and Felda Investment Corporation (FIC).

The land parcels, located in Jalan Semarak here were estimated to be worth RM270 million.
