KUALA LUMPUR: Firemen retrieved the body of a woman who was reported to have drowned in a river near Kg Pasir in Jalan Kelang Lama today.
City Fire and Rescue Department Director Khiruddin Drahman said the body was found floating near Kampung Kenangan, Puchong at 5.30pm.
The woman, identified as M. Kasturi, 20, had fallen off a nearby bridge at about 8am.
The fire department received a distress call at 7.51am and a team of rescuers including its scuba divers were deployed to the scene.
The body was handed over to the police, before being taken to the hospital for post-mortem examination.
