Kemaman flood situation registers slight improvement

KUALA TERENGGANU: The flood situation in Kemaman has shown a slight improvement, with the number of flood victims numbering 2,240 people today.

This was in comparison to 2,338 people who were housed in 13 flood relief centres as of last night.

Adam said eight other relief centres have been closed in stages, with flood victims allowed to return to their homes this morning.

He said the Dewan Orang Ramai Teladas was closed at 8.30pm last night, while Masjid Kampung Batu 16 ended operations at 10am today.

Four other relief centres which ceased operations today are the Pusat Pemindahan Lubok Megat, Surau Haji Osman, Surau Kampung Ban Ho and Pusat Pemindahan Kampung Pasir Gajah.
