Youths fascinated by NSTP's Throwback Tunnel at #Gegaria Fest

SHAH ALAM: #Gegaria Fest’s the Throwback Tunnel by the New Straits Times Press (NSTP) is a hit among youngsters here, as they are taken on an exciting historical ride through the country's development milestones since the 1950s.

One of several unique features of Media Prima Bhd’s lifestyle festival at Setia City Convention Centre, #Gegaria Fest’s artistically-decorated Throwback Tunnel boasts various interactive attractions that leave visitors amazed.

Ain Nur Lisa, 25, who visited the Fest with her parents, said she was thrilled by the Throwback Tunnel and was overwhelmed by its showcase of the nation's progress.

"I felt like I was living in the 1950s, and was very proud of our country's progress.

"The Throwback Tunnel is a good idea to attract and educate youngsters like me," she said.

Muhammad Nadzrein, 27, said the Throwback Tunnel is a good platform for the youth to learn more about the nation’s history.

"This tunnel (acquaints youths with) the nation's heroes.

"At the same time, its decorations (are fascinating)," he said.

This is the first stop for the #Gegaria Fest, with the next event scheduled for Feb 3 in Johor Baru, followed by Feb 24 in Kuantan.
