Forest City hosts successful International Media Golf Tournament 2024

GELANG PATAH: Forest City recently played host to a triumphant return to golfing events with the staging of the International Media Golf Tournament 2024.

The tournament, held at the renowned Legacy course at Forest City Golf Resort, saw an impressive turnout of 100 players from local and international media partners, signaling a rejuvenation of recreational activities post the Covid-19 pandemic.

The main objective of the tournament was to bolster support and relations among media practitioners, a goal that was achieved with the representation of management members, editors, journalists, and photographers hailing from Malaysia, Singapore, China, Indonesia, and South Korea.

"This golf tournament was initially planned as a Forest City's annual event since we have an international standard golf course. But it is on hiatus when the pandemic happened.

"The management is pleased to have media practitioners here again in Forest City.

"We appreciate everyone's effort and willingness to spend time to participate in the tournament," said Ir. Syarul Izam, deputy president of Forest City.

Among the standout performers of the tournament were Mahathir Mohd Sidi from Media Prima and Toha Dol from Malaysia Golf, who clinched the titles in the gross score and stableford system 36 categories, respectively.

Additionally, Mahathir also secured victory in the longest drive novelty event, while Ismadi A. Manap from RTM and Chen Hao from China won the nearest to line and nearest to pin events, respectively.
