Pahang floods improving, more victims return home

KUANTAN: The flood situation in Pahang has shown improvement, with only 102 victims from 99 families remaining in two relief centres.

State Civil Defence Force director Colonel Zainal Yusoff said the SK Sinar Mutiara relief centre was closed after the remaining 375 victims returned home at 1pm.

He said only two relief centres were open in Pahang; SK Temai with 93 victims from 24 families and SK Aceh with nine victims from two families.

"The promising weather has allowed more victims to return home and we can expect others to return before the weekend.

"Water in most areas have receeded." he said today.
