KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today expressed his excitement over the second newborn cub of two giant panda Xing Xing and Liang Liang.
The joy was shared by the Prime Minister on his twitter account through a retweet by the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry announcing the news of the newborn.
“The second newborn panda within less than four years. It seems that Xing Xing and Liang Liang is happy in Malaysia! (Anak panda kedua dalam tempoh kurang 4 tahun. Nampaknya Xing Xing dan Liang Liang Bahagia di Malaysia!)”, he said.
The cub was born on Jan 14 at 7.50am and its gender could not be identified yet as it is still attached to its mother.
Natural Resources and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar yesterday said the Chinese Embassy has issued a statement over the good news.
