PUTRAJAYA: Aerotrain services at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) have been suspended for emergency maintenance works.
The service was grounded at 9.30am on Thursday, and is expected to resume at noon.
Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) said 14 buses are now ferrying passengers between the main terminal and satellite buildings
"We are expecting about 12,000 passenger movements this morning.
"Thus, passengers are advised to directly proceed to the bus lounge where our Airport CARE Ambassadors are in attendance to assist them with their journey," said MAHB in a statement.
As for the aerotrains, it said the engineering team is doing its best to complete the maintenance work as soon as possible.
"We will provide updates once they are back in service."
This is the second time in a month that the aerotrain service has been suspended.
On Dec 24, emergency works on the 20-year-old trains, which lasted approximately 12 hours, left hundreds of passengers stranded at the main and satellite buildings.

One of two aerotrains at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) resumed normal service at about 10.50am today.
Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) said its engineering team is still conducting corrective maintenance works on the other train.
MAHB is therefore urging passengers to continue using the 14 buses it has pressed into service to ferry them between the main terminal and the satellite building.
"This is to ensure a smooth and quick journey," it said in a statement.
MAHB expects about 12,000 passenger movements this morning.
Aerotrain services were suspended today to allow for emergency maintenance works.
The trains were grounded at 9.30am and were expected to be fully operational by noon.
