Sultan Ahmad Shah's sister heads list of 197 Pahang award recipients

PEKAN: Tengku Datuk Nor Akmar Sultan Abu Bakar is heading the list of 197 recipients of state awards and medals in conjunction with the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah's 87th birthday today (Jan 27).

The sister to Sultan Ahmad Shah are among 21 individuals to be conferred with the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) award, which carries the title "Datuk Seri".

The awards and medals would be conferred by Regent of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah, on behalf of Sultan Ahmad Shah, at Istana Abu Bakar here.

Other SSAP award recipients are Chief Judge of Malaya Tan Sri Ahmad Maarop; Federal Court judges Tan Sri Ramly Ali, Tan Sri Azahar Mohamed and Datuk Balia Yusof Wahi; Datuk Indera Wan Abdullah Wan Salleh; the Prime Minister's Department's (PMD) Research Division director-general Datuk Hasanah Ab Hamid; Road Transport Department director-general Datuk Shaharuddin Khalid; Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Amar Singh; Federal police Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department director Datuk Tajudin Md Isa; and senator Datuk Dr Hou Kok Chung.

Also set to be conferred the SSAP award are Bentong Umno division vice-chief Datuk Khairuddin Yaakob; Multigarn Network (M) Sdn Bhd director Datuk Lim Seng Peng; New Bob Group group managing director Datuk Dr Lee Ville; Pyroforce Holdings Sdn Bhd group executive chairman Mohd Radli Peje; Azimlith International Group managing director and chief executive officer Suresh Emmanuel Abishegam; GIG Technology Holdings Sdn Bhd executive director Megat D. Shahriman Zaharudin; Landmark Holding Sdn Bhd managing director Liew Shan Wen; Gladron Chemicals Sdn Bhd executive director Lee Haw Yih; Cable Line Electrical and Engineering Sdn Bhd managing director Loo Thian Pow; and Erayear Group Sdn Bhd executive director Andrew Lim Eng Guan.

Three people will receive the Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP), another 11 the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP) and 66 the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP). All three awards carry the title "Datuk".

The SIMP recipients are Public Service Department's (PSD) Service Division director Datuk Noridah Abdul Rahim; the Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Ministry's deputy chief secretary (management) Khairul Dzaimee Daud; and Terengganu State Development officer Datuk Nik Nasarudin Mohd Zawawi.

The DSAP recipients include Tengku Abdul Muiz Shah Tengku Temenggong Abdul Aziz; Urusan Alam Jitu Bina Sdn Bhd director Datuk Ahmad Latifi Abd Malek; Selangor Customs director Datuk Sarip Ismail; PSD Research, Planning and Policy director Suhaime Mahbar; PSD Public Sector Transformation division director Dr George Patrick @ Marimuthu; and National Security Council's (NSC) National Security deputy director-general Ahmad Shublee Othman.

Among those set to receive the DIMP award are actor Mohd Fairuz Zainal Abidin, who is also popularly known as Fizz Fairuz; National Association of Wives of Civil Servants and Women Civil Servants (Puspanita) deputy chairman Datin Seri Nik Hasnah Nik Kadir; PMD research division managing director Ruslin Jusoh; Election Commission (EC) panel advisor Ahmad Adli Abdullah; Customs headquarters Goods and Services Tax (GST) director Ahmad Maher Abd Jalil; Perak Customs director Abd Manan Muda; Penang Customs director Saidi Ismail; Johor Road Transport Department (RTD) director Mohd Rusdi Mohd Darus; and Federal Crime Investigation Department's prosecution and legal chief assistant director Senior Assistant Commissioner Izany Abdul Ghany.

The list also includes seven recipients of the Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP), 17 of the Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP), 11 of the Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP), 16 of the Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP), 15 of the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang (PKC), 15 of the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (PKT) and 15 of the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) awards.
