Bad weather diverts flights bound for KLIA

KUALA LUMPUR: Thunderstorms and heavy rain which hit parts of Klang Valley this evening saw six flights bound for the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) diverted to two other airports.

A Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) officer said five of the flights that were expected to arrive at the KLIA from 6pm onwards, were diverted to the Penang International Airport.

The five flights were from Kota Baru, London, Yangon, Hong Kong and Kathmandu.

Meanwhile, a flight from Bangkok which was also bound for the KLIA was diverted to the Langkawi International Airport.

Here is the list of diverted flights due to bad weather at KUL as at 7.22pm, 1/2/2018:
