NST continues to grow, climbs up to 15th spot

KUALA LUMPUR: The New Straits Times (NST) continues to be a force to be reckoned with in the Malaysian media scene.

NST’s official website, www.nst.com.my, was ranked 15 among 20 news sites and blogs in Malaysia under digital meter ComScore Inc’s newly released statistics on unique browsers.

The site raked in 12.65 million unique browsers in news and information categories throughout last year. NST also came in neck to neck with The Malay Mail Online which was slightly higher at the 14th place with a showing of 13.07 million unique browsers.

It also outranked KiniTV, which recorded 9.37 million unique browsers for the period.

Meanwhile, Harian Metro’s official website, www.hmetro.com.my, recorded 48.1 million unique online browsers throughout the past year in the news and information categories.

Berita Harian website, www.bharian.com.my, recorded a total of 41.06 million unique views last year, coming in second.

The two Malay publications under the New Straits Times Press stable outranked The Star (38.48 million unique browsers), Sinar Harian (36.94 million), and MalaysiaKini (33.22 million), which ranked third, fourth and fifth in the list, respectively.
