Arshad Ayub business school gets new logo

KUALA LUMPUR: The Arshad Ayub Graduate Business School (AAGBS) has launched a new logo today to highlight the school's industry engagement and global outlook.

The ceremony was officiated and graced by the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah at the Majestic Hotel here.

Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin was also present at the gala dinner.

The branding initiative incorporates a new visual identity with a refreshed university logo that comes with the tagline - Connect, Engage, Advance.

AAGBS aims to be placed in the international ranking by making outstanding achievement in the international level which includes accreditation, programme, research, student and staff mobility.

Its founder and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) pro-chansellor Tan Sri Arshad Ayub, said the university should become a place that attracts and forges world changers.

"I urge torch-bearers of tomorrow to be bold and redefine learning.

"Certain changes can be gradual, and certain others need to be bold and fast in order to remain sustainable in an era of volatility, uncertainty and disruption.

"The business school makes for a perfect fertile ground for educated and informed debates to address business problems faced by the practitioners out there." he said.

At the dinner, Top Glove contributed RM100,000 donation to UiTM and the mock cheque was presented by Top Glove Group of Companies founder and chairman Tan Sri Dr Lim Wee Chai.

UiTM vice chansellor Professor Datuk Dr Hassan Said, who was among the guests present, received the cheque, witnessed by Sultan Sharafuddin.

The dinner was also aimed at raising funds to assist deserving students, research activities and facilities' upgrade in UiTM.
